Satchel sponsored the National Cleanup Action by Mes Darom
Last Saturday, the Satchel team rolled up their sleeves and joined thousands of volunteers across Lithuania for the annual Mes Darom National Cleanup Action – one of the country’s most beloved environmental traditions revived this year.
On April 25, 2026, our team gathered at Salotė beach in Pilaitė, Vilnius, joining a wave of civic energy that swept across the capital and beyond. As the Grand Sponsor of this year’s event, Satchel was proud not just to support the initiative financially, but to show up in person, bags and gloves in hand.
Mes Darom movement brings together communities, companies, schools, and individuals to clean up Lithuania’s nature: forests, parks, beaches, and urban green spaces. This year, Vilnius alone hosted cleanup activities across nine different locations, with Pilaitė being one of three major hubs in the city.
For the Satchel team, heading out to Salotė wasn’t just about collecting litter. It was about being part of something bigger – a shared commitment to the city and environment we all call home. Pilaitė’s green spaces and lakeside areas are used and loved by thousands of Vilnius’s residents, and keeping them clean is something everyone benefits from.
Volunteering together also brought its own rewards: a chance to step away from screens, breathe some fresh air, and connect with colleagues outside the office. There’s something uniquely grounding about working side by side toward a simple, tangible goal.
