Satchel x BC Rytas: Together Against Exclusion
In collaboration with our long-standing partner, Vilnius BC Rytas, Satchel is proud to kick off the year by hosting an event for youths with disabilities. On January 26, in Active Vilnius arena, the whole Rytas team will give an exciting masterclass dedicated to our guests from Vilnius Verkiai school – multifunctional center as well as Mirabilia association of people with disabilities.

This event embodies the shared values of Satchel and Rytas: achievement is not just about business growth or victories on the court—it’s about creating meaningful connections and contributing to a thriving, inclusive community. By uniting diverse people, interests, and lifestyles, we aim to bring the joy of basketball to youths with disabilities, offering them a day of inspiration, engagement, and fun.
The activities will include a friendly basketball game where participants can experience the excitement of being on the court alongside the Rytas team. It’s an opportunity to see firsthand the skill and passion of basketball stars, fostering inspiration and motivation.
A shared vision of inclusion
“We like to be a vital part of our city. We are also aware that people with disabilities love basketball—and it’s not just about sports. Basketball connects, inspires, and unites. We want to share a part of who we are, what we believe in, with youths who face hardships daily, and we’re happy to do it with the partners of our club,” says Jaroslav Latušinskij, the CEO of BC Rytas.
Sergiy Barybin, the CEO of Satchel, adds: “With continuous and conscious effort we want to give a reminder that exclusion in our society is something that worsens the problems people with disabilities experience. And these problems encompass not just limited accessibility, but loneliness as well. Our wish is to make inclusion less a buzzword, more an actual impact.”
